Hello,
Thank you very much for your responses. Since I was struggling, I had to call on a former colleague (more competent), who eliminated epistart and epibrowers using an application called "Torrent." We also had to remove the antivirus that was preventing the installation of Google Chrome. Everything seems to be back to normal. Hope it lasts!
Wishing you all the best and congratulations on your spirit of help.

Hello,
It is strongly recommended to install software from the publisher's site and not from an untrusted address.

Hello,
See this.
Download ResetBrowser for free for PC - CCM
(Precaution: Back up Firefox and Chrome Bookmarks Although favorites are kept, it is always safer to have a copy…).
You can download it from the Edge browser, for example.
Hello, Thank you for your replies. I downloaded ResetBrowser, but I still get the same error message. I also want to mention that my PC is slow, and it disconnects after an hour of inactivity. After that, I have a lot of trouble restarting it. Should I suspect a virus? Best regards, Stef
Good evening,
Check the health status of the hard drive to see if it is in good condition.

Hello,
We can move your post to the Virus/Security forum if it keeps messing up, certified CCM Helpers could help find the cause.
Since you have a redirect from an obsolete link.
A quick look in the meantime at ==► Malwarebytes

Hello,
I downloaded crystaldiskinfo.
It indicates: Bad 0% for disk 0. Good for disk 1.
Can you enlighten me on these findings? Thank you.
Hello
When Chrystaldiskinfo says "bad" for a drive, it should be removed from the running PC. We have realized that a "bad" drive can disrupt the functioning of the rest of the device or Windows. Possibly, if necessary, replace it with a new one.
Only then should you resume looking for the initial problem with the Chrome installation, which probably has a different cause.
