Hello everyone,

I would like to point out that there will be an issue if you have a wireless mouse after the latest update of Windows 11 !!!

During its update, W11 changes USB ports to 3.0, so if you have your mouse's transmitter on a USB port after the update and you remove it, your mouse will no longer work since the transmitter is configured to 3.0 after the update, hence your mouse can no longer recognize its transmitter.

I will try to update the mouse and adapter firmware via the mouse software… Maybe it could work. I will keep you updated if it works ;)

Have a good day everyone,

Torii

Hello,

Quoicoubeh, everything is already at 3.0 and above except for a few exceptions, I don't understand, a standard cannot be changed...

Hi

It's nothing to do with the type of USB port

Windows can't change a type 2 port into a type 3 one.

It's physical

Mine works on a USB 2 or 3 port

Type 3 is backward compatible with a type 2 device

Your problem lies elsewhere

Good evening,

Let me explain, I plugged my mouse transmitter (Logi M185) into a laptop and then updated to W11. Everything was going very well when I had to, as with every update, restart my device; my mouse was working perfectly. Then I switched to another laptop, so I unplugged my transmitter and plugged it into the other laptop, and there the mouse was no longer responding. I plugged it back into the first laptop thinking it was a glitch with the other one, but it happened again, my mouse is not working! So I deduce that when I removed the transmitter, it installed a new driver after the update! I connected another wireless mouse, and everything is normal, but the mouse I used during the update is still out on all laptops, from which I conclude that it no longer recognizes its transmitter!

That's the whole story; well, I have other mice and the laptop touchpads, so I'm not without a pointer;)

Thank you for your intervention, and if any of you have an idea, it would be nice to share it with me :)

Have a good evening,

Torii
