Firefox bookmarks are blocked

Hello,
For the past few days, I have been unable to save a bookmark or delete an already saved one... it's stuck. However, I completely uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it, performed various cleanups... to no avail. Also, when I try to back up my bookmarks through "organize my bookmarks" > Backup or Export... it doesn't work, and there are no saved or exported files apparent [I chose DESKTOP for the saving].
Is it because I only have a local account created during the installation of W. 11? Should I also have a MS account?
Thanks for your help and advice.
Sergio

Hello,
This is certainly not related to a local account and no Firefox settings allow for that; perhaps it's a local Windows security policy.

Hello,
If the problem persists, the program and/or profile might be corrupted ??
Download and install --> Revo Uninstaller
Run it as administrator
Uninstall --> Mozilla Firefox
Follow the tutorial carefully to uninstall everything cleanly, including all folders and residual keys.
For the residual scan, check --> advanced mode
Restart the PC.
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Press Windows + R
Type --> control panel and OK
File Explorer Options
1- View tab
2- Check --> show hidden files, folders, and drives
3- Apply
4- OK.
Then, go delete the Mozilla Firefox folder (if present) in these 3 directories described below:
Press Windows + E
--> Local Disk (C) > Users > your username > AppData > Roaming
--> Local Disk (C) > Users > your username > AppData > Local
--> Local Disk (C) > Programs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, download and install --> Firefox
Hello everyone and a big thank you for your suggestions and advice.
Firefox is working well now. I had made a backup with Hekasoft
Backup [free] and I was able to restore Firefox. However, I am carefully keeping
all the software and instructions you sent me. Thank you ... thank you.
And since we are on bookmarks ... I would like to tidy up, as I have around 1200 ... of which ???% are useless to me: the computer hoarding syndrome? ... Anyway, I found a few extensions for Firefox, but I don’t know which one to use to remove duplicates, broken links, websites that no longer exist, etc. Could you please advise me?
I wish you a good day ... hopefully sunny.
Sergio
If you have nothing to back up for bookmarks:
Press Windows + E
Go to: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxx.default-release\bookmarkbackups
Delete all the contents in the folder --> bookmarkbackups
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then, launch Firefox
Do --> Ctrl + Shift + O
In the left pane, select --> All Bookmarks
Select --> Bookmarks Toolbar
In the right pane, select a bookmark
Do --> Ctrl + A
In the window, right-click and delete.
Do the same with Bookmarks Menu and Other Bookmarks.
