IOS 26 and semi-automatic predictive input

Hello,
I have lost productivity due to the new semi-automatic input in iOS 26 because you have to type at least one letter for the system to suggest a word, whereas before the suggestions came without waiting and were also more relevant. I suppose there’s nothing to be done about this, but I’m asking anyway.

There has been a fresh update that restored the input to iOS 16, as it was lacking and some unhappy users reported it.
Hi,
Yes, you need to be patient with Apple and the updates are important so you need to check often to see if there are any to perform.
Today, it's IOS 26.3.1 (a) which is a new update.
The main thing is that you have returned and shared your feedback, and you help a lot on this forum for those who are in the same situation as you.
Thanks for them.
Best wishes,

Yes, under 26.1, for example:
if I type "au", it won't suggest "revoir" immediately after; I need to type at least one first letter, if not more, unlike iOS 16 where everything was smoother, hence faster.
Hi,
You go to > General > Keyboards and then under Auto Capitalization, everything needs to be enabled, which means it should be in green.
Except for Auto Capitalization unless you want everything in uppercase.
