Hello, even on my old Xiaomi, for some time now, TikTok installs itself automatically, I see the icon appear, even though I have never installed it from the Play Store. I have disabled all the recommendations etc. in the settings, there is no doubt it's not coming from that. Can someone help me please? My parents are asking me why I'm constantly installing TikTok when I haven't even installed it!!

    Hello,

    I think it probably comes from one of the pre-installed apps on your Xiaomi, or maybe from a TikTok ad that you clicked on by mistake. On some phones, it can start downloading by itself, even if you didn't go to the Play Store.

      The other night I wanted to see which airplane was flying over my house (Flight Radar).

      In the free version, it’s obviously flooded with ads, including some like the full-screen TikTok that’s very hard to exit without accepting, which can be an example of this type of situation.

      Even if TikTok was pre-installed on a phone, you wouldn’t be able to uninstall it, but you could deactivate it.
