Hello,

I have already posted this question, unfortunately I did not receive the right title.

A black and white film, young people enter an old manor, hoping to get help.

People do not want to enter this manor.

An elderly lady lives in seclusion, ever since her child died due to lack of help.

The day her child passed away, she rang the bell to receive help to save her child. No one came to help them, and since that day she has lived in seclusion in the manor with her memories and her grief.

They enter the manor, this woman might be able to help them.

We see the old lady, I can't remember if they speak to her.

In my memories, I glimpse someone playing with a ball outside.

I only have vague memories, it's very little. But I am sure it was in black and white, so it’s a very old film.

This is not the title I was given, Malcolm... I bought it but it doesn't ring a bell. Some passages maybe?

I think there must have been an earlier version in black and white, long before.

I might have this film on VHS, but some labels are faded.

I would need to try to watch them to learn the story. But I have many unlabeled VHS tapes.

i

It wasn't of very good quality,

But I remember a bit of the story. If I found the title I might be able to repurchase it.

I'm sorry that the title I was given does not match, it is in color and more recent. I still wanted to buy it, some passages are somewhat similar, that's why I maintain that it's not the right film. A new adaptation of a much older film.

I am trying my luck again, you never know.

I really saw this film in black and white. The fact that it is a rather strange kind of film interests me a lot.

Thank you in advance, if you can help me, please.

Best regards.

Hello,

I don’t have the answer to your request but just a tip for you: the site whatismymovie.com (in French: c'est quoi mon film) allows you to find a movie based on a simple description. Unfortunately, it's currently having an issue and isn't able to find much, but I invite you to give it a try in the coming hours or days.

The process is simple: in the appropriate box, you describe your movie.
For example, you might write: "Young people enter an old mansion to ask for help. An elderly lady has been living in seclusion in this mansion since her child died from a lack of assistance."

Then you click the button named "Search."

Good luck

Hello

I also tried searching for your movie again and each time I get the error message "Sorry, we are unable to reach the origin server at the moment. Please try again later."

The message indicates that the site no longer has access to the server that manages the database. It is likely that the site's creator has thrown in the towel.

Sorry for this false lead in finding your movie.
