Hello, I would like to change my current GPU (Nvidia GeForce GTX 970) for a new one. But I don’t know anything about it at all!! Can you tell me which equivalent but newer and cheaper graphics card I should get? It’s important to know that the only game I play is only and exclusively Fortnite, and I don’t plan to play anything else. (So it needs to be as cheap as possible)

Thank you for your advice.

Hello

We also need to know the rest of the configuration to see if an upgrade of the graphics card is possible because if the processor is too weak, the card will never reach its potential.

Hello

There isn't any, you already have the cheapest one, the one you shouldn't buy again.

In many cases, it's unnecessary to try the minimum configuration, it's still marked somewhere on a gaming site:

However, Fortnite is one of the most demanding games depending on where you play, the people you play with, and the mods you choose. You can go from an old, well-optimized PC that is sufficient to a cutting-edge model that is completely over the top and can't be cooled, there's always something missing.

Some people play it like this: changing everything every week.

Hello,

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (8 GB GDDR6) – ~180-220 € (new)

Performance: About 100-120 FPS at 1080p with high settings in Fortnite, significantly more powerful than the GTX 970 (+50-60%).

Supports DLSS, which can improve fluidity in Fortnite (although the impact is limited at 1080p).

Thank you for your advice.

Actually, I plan to build a new PC and give my old one to my granddaughter. That's why I'm looking for a new GPU for the new setup, which will have a "Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX" motherboard with a Ryzen 5 7500F and 32GB of RAM.

The old PC has an "MSI Z97 Gaming 5" motherboard with an i7 4790 CPU and 16GB of RAM and a GTX 970 4GB.
