Steam Deck, ROG Ally and similar devices comparison

Hello,

Currently a PS4 player, I am considering switching to the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, or another portable console for PC games that can be connected to a TV.

Before making a decision, I am primarily wondering about the extent of the library available compared to existing PC games. Is it wide enough (I play a lot of survival/post-apocalyptic/horror games like DayZ, The Forest, Dying Light, etc.), and are these machines capable of keeping up with performance upgrades?
To illustrate my point, a PC can become obsolete when it can no longer run the latest games, whereas this isn’t an issue with a traditional console (Switch, PlayStation, Xbox...) as long as games are still being released for the platform. What about the Steam Deck and its main competitors?

Hello,

Their specs remain weak for playing in high resolution.

Otherwise, yes you'll find what you're looking for in the Steam library.

If you want a living room PC, there's the AI MAX 395+ thing, but it's not cheap; however, you might eventually try installing Steam or Chimera OS on it.
