Repeater issue

I have a livebox in my living room. Next to this livebox, I had a repeater that served as a relay to a second repeater installed in a bedroom.
The repeater next to my livebox is "out": it no longer lights up regardless of the socket I plug it into.
Should I buy a repeater of the same brand to replace it?

Hello also,
Politeness formulas are essential on the CCM Forum... https://www.commentcamarche.net/infos/25855-charte-d-utilisation-de-commentcamarche-net-respect-d-autrui/#politesseShould I buy a repeater of the same brand to replace it?I think so. Just check with your Internet service provider.

Hello there,
If I understand correctly, these are not repeaters provided by Orange; otherwise, next to the box, it serves no purpose.
So it's a mesh network; what is the exact model of these "repeaters"?
And there you go, here it is ....
But goodness, how annoying the line spacing is!! -
Hello Brupala and thank you for replying.
My livebox is an Orange livebox. It was connected until now to a Netgear repeater via an ethernet cable in a room far from the house, which did not receive internet; a technician had set up a DLINK system powered by another Netgear box. Everything was working fine until the Netgear box permanently turned off. I bought a box from another brand than Netgear and made the same connection as before near the livebox, but I can no longer receive internet where I used to receive it.
I can't find a Netgear repeater at the moment, which is why I asked whether two linked repeaters need to be of the same brand?
Thank you for your attention.

Good evening,
Your Box is connected to Fiber or ADSL... https://assistance.orange.fr/objets-connectes/installer-et-utiliser/extenders-et-repeteurs/extenders-et-repeteurs-wifi/repeteur-wifi/repeteur-wifi-installer_260102-801460

OK,
I asked you for the exact model for those Netgear, I think it's a mesh network you had, not repeaters, if it's a mesh network, I assume that your box's Wi-Fi is turned off.
In a network, devices are not mixable, there isn't really a single standard, even at tp-link, there are 3 different systems (deco, one mesh, and omada).
One piece of advice: forget about Netgear and go for tp-link mesh instead.
That's what I have and it works very well at my place.
