Hello,
I just acquired a NAS, the D-link DNS 320-L
I have Windows 7
Installed yesterday, it was working fine,
And today, I can't connect to the NAS directly, I have to go through a web page, where downloads are slower.
When I try, it asks me for my network password, whereas yesterday it didn't...
I tried disabling the password in the network settings
I attempted with the homegroup password
I followed the manufacturer's instructions on their site (they recommend uninstalling Windows Live)
I tried the Windows user password, that’s not it either
I downloaded the manufacturer's updates
I even tried to reach their support service
and nothing.....
still this damn password...

Well, I restored the settings to default and it's working again. I made a mistake while creating the users in the NAS management, I must have messed it up; it’s not easy to get a hang of this thing anyway...
Thanks a lot anyway! -
Yes, I'm sorry, I'm just so frustrated that I forget my manners, and I'm not used to posting on forums.
Sorry.
So please, could you help me???
The question is how to access the NAS via my home network and delete or even find that ***** password?-
Solutions (extract from the doc) :
Plausible :Default IP address : Determined by the DHCP server Default username : admin Default password : (leave this field empty)
Extreme :How do I reset my ShareCenter? Locate the reset button located at the back of the ShareCenter. Press and hold the button (using a tool like a straightened paper clip) until the power indicator on the front panel starts blinking. Wait for a minute while the device resets. Note: Resetting the ShareCenter to factory default settings will erase the settings of the current configuration. To reconfigure your settings, log into the ShareCenter's web interface or reinstall the device using the configuration assistant software provided on the CD-ROM.

Make a gesture for the environment, close your windows and adopt a penguin. -
Thank you,
Yes, I followed the manufacturer's instructions,
I enter the IP address in the Windows explorer and I access the NAS, but Windows then asks me for the "network password",
As for resetting it, I had seen that it's when the NAS is completely inaccessible because an IP address is already registered, for example when the NAS is second-hand, which is not my case. Besides, it has my IP address correctly; it's Windows that is blocking me as a network device.
Because when I access it via WiFi, it works. -
While trying to fix it, I ended up blocking everything; I'm going to reset it...
NAS isn't for clueless people in IT like me, you might say, but I have to learn somehow.... -
Hello everyone,
I've tried the process several times and I still have no way to reset the password. I also attempted a factory reset and no luck.
I can access it through the browser but I can't reset the user password.
Does anyone have a solution????
(please ;-))
