Hello

I recently switched to Windows 11 and I notice that Fan Control doesn't work properly on my Windows 11

I installed and uninstalled it 3 times. Nothing works, it's not in my startup apps. Basically, I have to open the program myself for it to work... How can I fix this? Thank you

Hello

I haven't yet needed to install fan control, the basic settings and the automations have worked well so far without manual correction here.

There has indeed been a recent bug report: Windows Defender started to flag fan control around March 11, 2025, due to a third-party driver independent of fan control but used to monitor sensors and probes related to temperature; therefore, a series of patches may follow, delaying the resolution if this is indeed the problem on your device. Difficulty with automatic installation corresponds.

For your information only, it can be read on GitHub: the patches arrive through the Microsoft update normally, there's nothing more to do than wait when a bug is known this way.

The latest information from the editorial team on the June 2025 update of Windows 11 suggests that the patch for the June 2025 patch sometimes causes issues. However, this only affects a few people at a time, according to Microsoft.

This newly published page gives you all possible combinations for your programs to function properly.

In the worst case, the next Windows 11 update in July will probably take place on a Tuesday at the beginning of the month to fix the remaining issues. This should reassure you.

It is still preferable to use applications available on the Microsoft Store with a recent version of Windows, as they are fixed more quickly by Microsoft than third-party programs in case of malfunction.

You still have the option to delay an update that is not suitable for your device and to revert to a version of Windows prior to the issue for a few days to give Microsoft time to deploy a new patch.

Everything is fine, it's my fault I'm not used to W11... The shortcut I was using was the wrong one, and with the right shortcut, everything is back to normal.
