Mouse wheel not scrolling anymore

Hello,

I have a pretty annoying problem with my wired mouse. For a while now, the scrolling with the mouse wheel hasn't been working, except when I click on it.

The mouse is definitely operational, the buttons work, the wheel works when I click on it as I mentioned, but I need the scroll for a game u_U

I’ve tried X solutions (key mapping, uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse, virtual mouse, nothing works for sure...)

If you have any ideas, I’m all ears...

    Hello,

    I think it's the mouse wheel that's defective. There must be a poor connection causing it to only respond when clicked.

    Try cleaning it. Maybe there are debris that have gotten stuck, preventing it from working properly.

    If there is dust etc. in the center of the wheel, facing the encoder, it needs to be disassembled and cleaned, being careful not to break anything.

    If it's a quality mouse, it should be fairly easy to maintain.
