Hello,

I often downloaded YouTube videos with 4K Video Downloader+, the last time a week ago, without any issues. For some time now, every time YouTube responds that the video is private and that I need to prove I’m not a robot. But I don’t see any way to send this confirmation. I've been searching in vain for a "Sign In" icon or something like that. What should I do?

Thank you in advance for your help...

Or maybe I need to activate the Premium features? Is YouTube becoming a paid channel?

Hello

The problem solved itself.

I was notified by Oberland in private message.

Hello Pierr10

Following your request, here’s what we could say to classify this issue as resolved (even though it has simply disappeared on its own)...

"In case of an anomaly or malfunction occurring during a usual operation, one can carefully and methodically repeat the said operation several times. If the anomaly persists, try again the next day or in the following days. If unsuccessful, you can try from another PC using the same internet connection (the fiber optic from home).

By resorting to this process, the problem disappeared without me being able to establish a reliable cause-and-effect link in any way. And it has not reappeared since.

This is just a simple account of my experience, with no claim to any generalization.

Hello,

There are 2 possibilities:

* Either the video is indeed private and it is normal that you cannot download it.

* Or it is a public video and there is a bug with 4K VideoDownloader.

The only thing you can do is to check that 4K VideoDownloader is up to date. The latest version is 25.0.4.0187 in 64 bits.

I just did 2 downloads before responding to you: no problem!

Could you provide the URL of a video that you were unable to download?

Hello and thank you for your quick response. Here is the URL of a video that YouTube refuses to download: https://youtu.be/nVcxbSw6o5k

My downloads from YouTube primarily involve movies taken from train cabins. I've downloaded quite a few without any problems, and now I always get a message (in red) that accompanies the refusal: Private content; sign-in required. YouTube: "Sign in to confirm you are not a bot." But where and how do I confirm that I am not a robot??

Note: Before my search, I log in to YouTube (username/password) which sends me a security message that I confirm (on my tablet). So why "Sign-in required"? I don't understand what's happening. And I have the latest version of 4K Video Downloader+ (25.0.4.0187 x64). And Windows 11.

Good evening,

I downloaded it without any problem (with a reduced resolution, since in 4K it exceeds 50 GB).

Note that the download link I used is not the one you provided: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVcxbSw6o5k.

You must have an identification issue on YouTube. I access YouTube from Google on my computer. I am logged into Google and I do not need any additional identification on YouTube.

Hello Pierr10

You told me: "You must have an identification problem on YouTube. I access YouTube from Google on my computer. I am signed in to Google and don’t need additional sign-in on YouTube."

Well, that's exactly my case... and I’m indeed getting the login request mentioned in my first message (and download refusal!).

I uninstalled/reinstalled 4K Video Downloader+: same problem. I am signed in on YouTube and can access the desired videos without issue. I can watch them but not download them!...(???). NB: I haven't activated the Premium feature...

This same application allows downloading videos from Facebook: I tried it, and it works fine!

To confirm, I downloaded the Free YouTube Download application (which I used to use): everything goes well... until the moment of downloading! I have a choice between a fast download (with Premium subscription) or a slow one for which a message appears: "I cannot open the output file" (which I have opened in My Documents).

I could, of course, be mistaken, but it seems to me that all of this inevitably pushes the user to take a subscription. For me, at least, the YouTube channel has become paid!... It seems strange to me to be the only one in this situation...

I look forward to your thoughts on this. Thank you in advance...

Hello,

I don't have any premium subscription with either YouTube or 4K VideoDownloader.

Moreover, there are no other reports regarding downloads on YouTube. This seems to be a personal issue for you.

I currently don't have a solution. A few ideas:

  • Disable the antivirus on your computer.
  • Have you tried downloading on a mobile device? (there is a mobile version of 4K VideoDownloader)
