Mac Mail, do not archive

Hello,

I usually create mail folders in the Mail app on Mac.

For example, a "home" folder, a "child" folder, a "work" folder, etc...

Once the email is processed, I file it in one of these folders until the case is closed and I delete the folder.

But the email also remains in the "archive" folder. If I delete it from the archive, it also deletes it from the "home" folder.

How can I make sure this is not the case, or even better, that no message is ever sent or received in the archive inbox?

My "archive" folder is filled with messages dating back 10 years...

I see in "settings / accounts / mailbox behaviors" that "archives" is set to "all messages". I imagine the issue comes from there, but I don't have any other option but to choose a mailbox.

Thank you

Thank you
