Windows 11, no connection in safe mode why?

Hello,*

Even though I selected "5" to restart in safe mode with networking, I have no connection. I have a black screen problem, so to restart in safe mode, I press Ctrl + Alt + Del simultaneously and before restarting, I can see that my connection is fine. Why not in safe mode?

Thank you in advance.*

Hello,

Right-click on the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin)

Type: CMD

Enter the command:

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

Then you will be able to start in Safe Mode with Networking by tapping the F8 key just before Windows starts.

But if you don't have a network connection, there may be a problem or a missing driver.

I believe this maneuver is more for Windows 10; I'm talking about Windows 11 here, and I don't think it's a driver issue because I'm connected in normal mode.

Windows 11 is a bit like Windows 10 with a new coat of paint.

This method works just as well.

Hi

You're talking about a Wifi connection, right?

At my place, under W11, it only works via Ethernet, the MSE with network connection

Hello,

I just tried and also, on WiFi, it's not working.

In the device manager, in the properties of my WiFi card, I have:

"Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)"

Could it be an unsigned driver by Microsoft?

It's a driver installed otherwise than through Windows or Windows Update, I don't know if that makes a difference.
