Hello,
I just bought a SAMSUNG NC 10 NETBOOK, and I can't connect via wifi to a computer that receives internet through the Freebox. Can you help me? Do I need to buy a specific USB adapter?

Hi,
If your computer is new, it should normally already be able to connect to Wi-Fi. Check if you have the symbol on the keyboard in blue. Then, why do you want to connect to another PC? Just connect directly to Free. -
No, the new Free ones are already on Wi-Fi, and you can even connect the HDTV box to Wi-Fi, just call them and ask them (it's terrible).
But you just need to check if the Wi-Fi is activated on her laptop. -
Good evening,
You can directly connect to the Freebox via Wi-Fi, but you do need to buy a Wi-Fi card that plugs into the side of the Freebox (at least for the Freebox v4, it may not be the same for higher models).
Then right-click on the small screen next to the clock and click on "Show available wireless networks." Next, select your network, click on "Connect," and enter your WEP or WPA key if you have one.-
Good evening, I would need your help if possible! I uninstalled the Bluetooth from my Samsung NC10 PC without realizing it was what provided me with Wi-Fi access. I managed to reinstall it via the Samsung website, but now I still can't reconnect to Wi-Fi (I'm using my Freebox access with the yellow Ethernet cable to connect and look for solutions). Could you offer me some help? I've spent hours without finding the issue.
I installed a software that tells me about all the software that can be installed on this PC (Driver Finder), and apparently, the PCI Bus Ethernet controller 2 is missing! Could this be the problem??
Thank you again

Is the 5th blue LED from the left lit? If it is off, you need to hold down the Fn key while pressing the F9 key.
If it still doesn't work, right-click on "My Computer" then "Properties" => tab "Hardware" => "Device Manager" and then click on the "+" next to "Network Adapters". A line will likely appear with a question mark, right-click on it and select "Reinstall" or "Update Driver". -

On this page you have all the drivers for the NC10 https://www.samsung.com/fr/support/
You need to click on "Drivers".
I imagine you are on Windows XP, so make sure to download the drivers corresponding to Win XP (see Operating System column). The wifi card driver is "WLAN Atheros" at the very bottom of the list. Download it by clicking on the small icon to the right of "MULTI LANGUAGE", then decompress the file with Winrar or Winzip and install it. The ethernet controller driver is "Local Area Network", but I doubt that this is the problem because otherwise you wouldn't be able to connect via the ethernet cable.
Your wifi card may simply be disabled. To check this, click on "Start", then click on "Connections" and "Show all connections". A page will open, and you should see "Wireless Network Connection". Right-click on it and select "Enable".

Hello,
you need to use the software "EASY NETWORK MANAGER" provided by SAMSUNG.....
The icon is on your "WINDOWS DESKTOP"....
Simply follow the NETWORK setup steps
That's it, the WIFI will no longer disable... -
Hello,
for me it would be the opposite, I want the Wi-Fi not to turn on at startup. How can I do that, please?????
thank you-
I have the same problem; I just purchased a Samsung NC10 and I am unable to connect to my Livebox via Wi-Fi. And that’s even while using Easy Network Manager.
If anyone has a solution...
Thank you in advance.- This misadventure just happened to me today! I had read a lot about this issue on the NC10, and while fiddling with my netbook this afternoon, I simply saw my connection disappear all of a sudden. This happened after installing a Samsung update (a few minutes later): Atheros WLAN XP Driver v7.7.0.329 ... So to say that this is the direct cause, I don't know, but a restore point + rebooting my Freebox = network operational again.
I will let you know if I encounter any new bugs without this update.

For my part, it was just a synchronization issue with my live box for it to recognize my netbook; in fact, I just pressed the button on the live box at the same time as starting the connection to the network.
