Half-full ink cartridge unable to print

Hello,

On my Epson printer app, it says that my black ink cartridge is about half full. (The color cartridges have always been empty since I only print black and white documents.) When I try to print from the app, it shows "empty cartridge" even though the small diagram above clearly indicates that there is still ink left, so I can't print. The print I am trying to do is indeed in black and white.

    Hello,

    In the additional properties and features:
    Have you tried checking the box --> grayscale printing?
