Transfer photos from redmi note 14 to pc

Hello

I just bought the Redmi Note 14, and I'm unable to transfer my photos taken with this phone to my PC. I've tried everything (updates, restarts, etc., connecting via USB cable, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.). The simplest method with the USB cable doesn't work (even though charging the phone with it is fine).

The other transfer methods, including pairing with Windows, require permissions, but when I access the settings for those, there's a "danger" signal for data security. So I don't want to use those.

Do I need to change the cable? I don't understand where the problem is.

It's great to have a new phone with very satisfactory camera performance, but what's the point if you can't transfer the photos to a PC...

Hello,

The cable transfer should work. Have you checked that it is enabled?

With the smartphone connected to the computer and unlocked, scroll through all the notifications until you find the one corresponding to the USB cable connection. Check the options.

Note: Mobile connected must be enabled on the computer as well as Link with Windows on the smartphone.

I don't really like this method as it can be quite temperamental. (It's great once you manage to activate it).

I generally use another method that I developed HERE. The file transfer is managed from the smartphone.

Hello, you need to swipe down from the top of your phone's screen with your finger to reveal certain information, including a box that says: PTP via USB enabled, Tap for more options.

So tap on it.

It offers you 3 possibilities:

selected, transfer photos (PTP)

then on your computer, click on the yellow disk icon, your phone will appear, open it, your photo storage will appear, copy and paste your folders (make sure to group photos by theme on your phone first) to your images on your computer.

I'm not great at this and I managed.
