I want to play VHS tapes from my VCR to my TV preferably using the HDMI port on the TV rather than the SCART port.

Is there a cable to connect the white and yellow female plugs of the VCR to the HDMI port of the TV? If so, where can I buy it?

Hello,

What are the references (Brand and model) of your devices (television and VCR)?

Switching from a Scart plug to HDMI involves a conversion device, from an analog signal (Scart plug) to a digital signal usable by the HDMI plug.

Moreover, generally, VCRs in France used the Secam color standard, less commonly PAL. Existing converters that are not Secam result in black and white images.

If your television has a Scart (Péritel) connection, the wisest solution is to use it.

You mention white and yellow plugs on the VCR. There should also be a red one, right?

These RCA plugs are composite video plugs (yellow = video - white = left audio and red = right audio). Generally, televisions also have inputs of this type.
