Security recommendations for Orange email box

Hello,
I received an email from ORANGE customer service recommending that I secure my orange mailbox if I use another mailbox with my orange password. That's my case since I use Outlook.
I am asked to generate a dedicated password by going to their website's support where they explain the steps to follow. It’s a code to create solely for configuring a third-party mailbox.
Do you think I should do it?
Has anyone else received this email?
Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Hello,
Yes, in general, never use the same password for two different sites; if it is compromised, it will be everywhere.
Thank you, but I think this is particular; it concerns 2 messaging services with shared emails, if I understand correctly.
Here is the message from Orange:
You are accessing your Orange mailbox on Outlook, Gmail, Thunderbird, the mail app on your iPhone or iPad...?
Hello,
We recommend that you avoid using your Orange password for these software and applications not provided by Orange. Instead, we suggest using a dedicated password:
- It takes the form of a security key automatically generated in your Customer Space. You do not have to choose it.
- It will be requested only when setting up your third-party messaging software and applications. You do not have to memorize it.
- It does not replace the password for your Orange account. This dedicated password is to be used only for your third-party messaging software and applications not provided by Orange. For all Orange services (orange.fr, the Orange and Me app, Orange TV...), you will continue to use your usual password or your Mobile Connect code.
Take action now!
To generate this dedicated password, go to the orange.fr website:
- Customer Space > Personal information > Connection and security > Password for third-party messaging software and applications.
We explain the procedure in detail in our support.

It's not really clear why the Orange password would be more hacked through a third-party software like Thunderbird than through the Orange Webmail; in fact, I never use my operator's Webmail.
Unless it's about separating the password for the mailbox from that of the client account allowing for modifications, in which case I'm indeed having a hard time keeping up.
Hello,
It seems that this is a password of about twenty characters, which once generated on the Orange account, becomes mandatory on third-party applications: https://communaute.orange.fr/t5/Trucs-et-astuces/Gestion-des-mots-de-passe-dans-Thunderbird/ta-p/2861450
