Hello, I have 2 days left to extend my premium 1fichier subscription. The price has increased a lot. The CDN subscription is more affordable but I don't know its exact functioning despite some research. I tell myself cheaper = worse. If anyone is knowledgeable about this, thank you for enlightening me.

Above all, do not resubscribe, they canceled my account after 3 months without reason even though it was my second year of subscription!

    Hello,

What does your Premium subscription consist of: monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual (I know, I'm subscribed until July 2025)?

Hi annual subscription. It goes up to 55. The double.

You can use the "semester" or "quarter" option to pay less, nothing is stopping you.

      Hello,

A CDN is only indirectly related to the matter; it operates at the server level to aggregate content, while the user simply connects to that server, so there is an abuse of terminology.

The discussion is surprising, although from a legal standpoint, the provider has been stalling by appealing the judgment it was condemned to in the appellate court; the absence of a final judgment in law prevents it from being held without discussion for infringement, but well...

If we can save files and create download links, that's already not bad. What does "abuse of language" mean? Given the price difference, where's the catch?

Everyone prices as they wish, which does not attest to the quality or lack thereof of a site; they may be ephemeral for the reasons I have indicated but will be replaced by others, it’s the never-ending chase between the policeman and the thief.

If it is only a matter of hosting potentially large files, a large number of Clouds and web hosts can do the job for a modest cost but without this "p2p" aspect.

One chooses what one wants, but not directly a CDN; it is not the internet link allowing access to the content but the way to host it on the site in question, and this is often what sparks debate because the sites in question claim not to host anything other than external links.

Thank you for your quick responses. 1fichier works for me, it seems stable. I have family memories that I don't want to lose. Just in case, I can transfer everything, no problem, but where? Stable, sustainable. If you have more affordable alternatives? Thank you.

I don't want to spend my time renewing. In the end, it will be the same price. Why such an increase? I'm more interested in understanding how CDNs work (advantages, disadvantages) compared to premium. The difference. Given the price, it can't be the same. Thank you for your help.

And yet, that's how renewal works, otherwise you wouldn't be subscribing. As for the CDN, I've never used it. So it will be difficult for me to answer you.

You have 3800 GB (3.8 TB) available for download on the CDN account.

CDNs allow you to provide a download link to people who are not registered; they can download your file for free without ads and without speed limits, (basically, you pay for the services of 1ficher instead of those who are downloading.)

You need to choose the files you want to share.

Lifetime client for I don't remember how many years, I've never had any issues.
