Avast blocks Firefox

Hello,
Avast is blocking access to sites via Firefox (page loading error for taxes for example, or getting stuck on the first video frame on YouTube). Of course, all the Avast sites and their buddies are accessible... I checked by temporarily disabling Avast. I reset Firefox for nothing... I'm using their browser right now. I've already added Firefox in the Avast settings but nothing works. How can I adjust Avast and resolve this issue please? I've obviously tried to contact support but nothing is possible outside of the already indicated topics.
Thank you for your help.

Hello @JFMCX StatutMembre.
Known issue with Avast or other antivirus software.
Your problem comes from the Avast web agent and its HTTPS scan, disable the HTTPS scan see this page.
Also check this page.
Also make sure you don’t have an Avast extension in Firefox.
Uninstall Avast Browser see this page.

A hello, a reply, a thank you are always appreciated.
Good evening,
If you are using Windows 10 or 11, the easiest thing is to completely remove Avast.
Windows 10 and 11 have their own built-in antivirus, reliable..., for basic use.
In case you need it:

Good evening and thank you Kori-Kori,
I was wondering about firing him as well. But I feel like I'm the only one this is happening to since I can't find anything on the web about this topic... hence my question about settings that I might not know about...
Since I have some paid options, I will first see how to get a refund for the remaining time.
Have a good evening.
Good evening,
You need to be careful with Microsoft's antivirus.
One of the questions to ask is why public services, administrations, police, justice, banks, international organizations do not use it. I'm not saying it's not good, but presenting it as the absolute....
Its main problem is that hackers attack it, because to hack Windows, you have to be able to bypass it. Windows being from Microsoft, so putting all your eggs in one basket, you know the rest. Those who recommend it, do they really use it?
As for blocking Firefox, look at one of Avast's functions, the one that checks security certificates, as it is often the one that blocks.
The question of Avast and Firefox is widely discussed on the exclusive assistance forum for Firefox, Thunderbird and their derivatives. Search the forum and you will see.
forums.mozfr.org &=#x20;remove the spaces, you will arrive at a forum founded by a French employee of The Mozilla Foundation, the contributors are true specialists in Firefox and Thunderbird.
Best regards.

Hello
Just in case, the correct Firefox download page should always be accessed directly from this page the first time, and then allow automatic updates to avoid any surprises.
We have noticed that a number of sites offer Firefox but do not provide the official version. This leads to some unfortunate experiences.
During installation, you should check that it is indeed the correct publisher.
Verified publisher: Mozilla Corporation.

Good evening bazfile,
Thank you for the advice.
I have disabled HTTPS analysis (I found other articles on the subject) and everything is fine, however I cannot uninstall Avast Secure Browser and I get the error message that Windows cannot find it in ...Program files\AVAST Software\Browser\Application\... which I think is an IP address...\Installer\setup.exe
However, the application is in C:\Users\...my code...\Downloads
I have a trash bin in the search module. Can it uninstall it properly?
If not, how can I force the uninstallation from other locations than program files? Should I create the folder indicated in the error message?
Best regards
JF
@JFMCX StatutMembre .
It’s normal for Avast Secure Browser to be in downloads since you downloaded it; it has nothing to do with the installation folder. To properly uninstall Avast Secure Browser, use uninstalr.
