Error (0xe0000008) on PC game fix
SolvedYoyo54f Posted messages 2 Status Membre -
Hello,
I have a problem with my gaming PC, the following error appears: the exception unknown software exception (0xe0000008) occurred in the application at location
0x00007FF8CDFBF20C.
The screen suddenly goes black and then returns to normal, and it lags a lot. I open a web page whether it's YouTube or Twitch, etc., and it doesn't work. I looked on YouTube by typing in the error and tried several methods but the problem is still there.
If anyone can help me find a solution that would be great, and to know what the problem is.
Thank you for your responses.

Hello,
Troubleshooting in 10 points.
1.
I assume everything is up to date but still check Windows Update. Also, run a full antivirus scan just in case.
2. Drivers :
Go to Device Manager (right-click on the Start menu -> Device Manager).
Check if any drivers need updating. You can also use Driver Booster to check for driver updates BUT BEWARE: during installation, choose "custom installation" and uncheck everything, it comes with a lot of stuff.
After use, uninstall it with a specialized tool like "Geek uninstaller" or similar.
3. If the problem arose after installing new software, try uninstalling that software.
4. Check system integrity
Open a command prompt as an administrator (right-click on the Start menu and select Command Prompt (Admin)).
sfc /scannow
If it fixes anything, run the command again.
5. Disable non-essential startups
Try starting your PC with a minimum of programs and services to see if a startup program is the cause.
Open Task Manager, Startup tab, disable all non-essential programs. You can also pair this with msconfig (type it after Win + R).
Restart your PC.
If it doesn't change anything, re-enable the software you need at startup.
If it fixes the issue, you know where to look.
6. Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool
Open the Start menu and type Windows Memory Diagnostic.
Select Restart now and check for problems.
7. Play with the RAM
Remove the sticks, put just one in a slot, restart, try again. If it fails, change slots.
If it fails, retry with another stick in both slots (that makes 4 tests, then).
If after these 4 tests nothing changes, the RAM is definitely not the issue.
8. Check the system temperature
Make sure all the fans are working.
Download MSI Afterburner, SpeedFan or HWMonitor and check that nothing exceeds 70° with nothing running.
A desktop PC should not exceed 90° under load in general with basic air cooling.
9. Try a system restore
Go to Control Panel -> System and Security -> System -> System Protection -> System Restore.
10. REALLY IF NOTHING WORKS
Reinstall Windows
Back up all your important data on external drives.
Settings -> Update & Security -> Recovery -> Reset this PC. Ideally start from a blank USB drive and a new .iso but it can be done just like this too.
