Hello, I just built my first PC, I turn it on and it goes directly to the MSI BIOS. I have a USB stick with Windows 11 installed on it connected to my PC, but it doesn’t want to start the Windows installation; I’m stuck on the BIOS and I don’t know what to do, please help me for God's sake.

Hello

Modify the BIOS to boot from the USB drive.

It's the "msi b550m pro-vdh wifi" but I go straight into the BIOS when I turn on the PC, I'm trying to get to Windows.

RE:

In the BIOS, go to Setting

Advanced

Windows OS Configuration

Choose UEFI

Disable secure boot

Escape to return to Setting

Boot

At the bottom, UEFI hard disk boot priority BBS

In boot option 1, choose your USB drive where your Windows is

F10 to save everything and exit, then restart

Let us know if everything is okay and if it worked

Hello, at startup, you should have a "boot menu" on the screen, go there, you should see your USB key.

I don't have a boot menu; I go straight to the BIOS.

Okay, just in case, tap the F12 key as soon as you start up, it's sometimes the boot key.

turn off all power supports and press F11 several times, what do you see on the screen?

PS: in the image from POST 16 you are in CSM (legacy), switch OFF to UEFI

Steph you're right, we need to switch the BIOS to UEFI.

That aside, the problem lies with the USB drive and its ability to be bootable; there's something unclear on that front.

He has an NVME SSD.

I'm seeing this on the screen with F11 and when I choose the USB key it's a black screen, and in post 25 I had already switched back to UEFI, and yes I have an NVME SSD

What is the capacity of your USB key?

You can try re-downloading but this time in ISO format as indicated in this post 19

The USB key is 8GB and okay, I will redo it this time in ISO, but I will probably only be able to do it tomorrow, so I'll keep you updated.

Perfect!! That's it, I downloaded it as an ISO file and everything worked wonderfully, you guys are kings! Thank you so much, but I have one last problem: the connection at my place is very poor and I don't have an ethernet cable. I was planning to connect with 4G hotspot sharing, but the problem is that it only offers me the option to connect via Ethernet. What should I do?

No boot menu, but boot priority yes

As below, in the yellow box, you drag the first "USB" to the left to make your key number 1.

You save. (F10, then "Y")

Okay, but since nothing was working, I changed the UEFI boot and switched to the other thing, but now when I turn on the PC I'm not even in the BIOS anymore, it shows me this, I hope I didn't do something stupid.

Oh great, I managed to switch back to UEFI and I put the USB stick all the way to the left in the boot priority, but I still appear in the BIOS...

If it can help, here is my config:

Processor: Ryzen 5 5600, Motherboard: Msi B550M PRO-VDH WIFI, Power Supply: MSI MAG A550BN 550w, RAM: Netac Shadow RAM DDR4 2x8, Cooler: Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE, Graphics Card: PowerColor Fighter AMD Radeon RX 6700XT 12 Go GDDR6.

The USB key used: Philips - Snow Edition - 8 Go USB 2.0

And to install Windows on it, I went to this link and did the second one, "Create installation media":

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

And sometimes when I turn on the PC, it just shows a black screen or I'm stuck, nothing happens, and when I turn the PC off and back on, it takes me to the BIOS or I go directly to the BIOS without the black screen.
