Unable to access wanadoo email on iPhone

Hello,
To check my Wanadoo inbox, I primarily use the Mail app on my phone (iPhone).
However, for about 2 weeks now, it has been utterly impossible for me; an error message appears systematically: either the server pop.orange.fr is not responding or my password is not acceptable to them. I would like to clarify that I can no longer retrieve my emails from my PC when using the Outlook program, but I have no issues accessing them through the Orange portal.
I tried reconfiguring this email account using either the POP protocol or the IMAP protocol, and re-entering all the information, but that hasn't worked any better.
And, given that I can access my emails from the Orange portal and that I'm using the same password, it isn't coming from that either.
I sent a message to Orange support, and they replied that there is no problem on their end; however, I also called 3900 and got roughly the same response, saying that they cannot do anything from their side.
At this point, I'm stuck and don't know where to turn for a solution.
If anyone has an idea, I'm all ears :)
Thank you.

Hello,
For your information, I resolved the issue by requesting the generation of a password for "third-party messaging software and applications" from the Orange customer area.
This is, for those who are not familiar, a password made up of about twenty characters that is used to access one's mailbox from the mail app on their phone, for example, and allows avoiding the use of one's "official" password.
Thank you to those who took the time to suggest solutions to me.
Have a great rest of the day.
Hello,
Try logging out of your Orange email, then log into Mail on your Mac! This may resolve the issue, as the servers might start functioning again!
Good evening. Thank you for your response. However, not being logged into my email account, I am unable to log in from my phone, despite entering the same credentials.
Best regards.
Hello,
A far-fetched hypothesis would be that following unauthorized access attempts, Orange has blocked the password on the email, but with no impact on what doesn't go through email but through the Web, such as the Orange account or Webmail.
Try changing the password to see if that makes any difference.
Hello,
this aligns with what I assumed, regardless of whether the password is short, long, or dedicated: if merely changing it is enough to reconnect, it’s because the previous one was blocked due to several errors, or more often because a malicious actor attempted to connect multiple times by testing various passwords.
This situation is quite common and tends to recur as long as the email address associated with it continues to be hacked on certain sites where one has visited: in other words, in this scenario, there’s a chance that one will have to go through the same operation for the same reasons the next day or the following week.
Hello!
Yes, you're right, but I tested the long code for the application, it's not bad, it's an extra layer of security, you see. I did it for Yahoo mail, it really helps. Being skilled in this area, my iTunes account was hacked, I received a notification saying someone had accessed my account from the Pacific, using an iPhone 5. Old model, I know someone who has one too! I changed my password, and since then, everything is good. I had a credit card saved, but it was expired... Cupboard and parsley! Wordplay, naughty games!
