Phone screen detached after impact

Hello,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S21, it fell this morning and after going to a repair shop, they think it's just the screen that has slightly come loose and told me to try to fix it myself by looking at tutorials online because otherwise, they'll charge me 140 euros even though it's clearly not complicated. The problem is, I've been searching for tutorials and I can find how to open the phone, but nothing about how to detach the screen and put it back... And then even to close the phone, do I need some kind of glue?? If anyone knows and can enlighten me :) He did tell me to wait 24 hours before taking it apart, but in the meantime I'm gathering information so I don't mess things up tomorrow!

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I feel like your repairman didn't want to carry out a repair that might be...challenging!

To reattach the screen, you first need to completely detach it in order to do a clean job.
You need to heat the screen to soften the existing glue and then remove the screen. This operation is really delicate, and you run the risk of breaking the glass.

If I were you, I would try to heat the front face with a hairdryer, taking all the precautions indicated in the video. Then, I would apply pressure to put everything back in place.

However, I am not at all convinced that it's a glue issue. I suspect something more serious, like a broken component inside the smartphone. And that can only be determined by fully disassembling it.

What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.

thank you very much for your response, I am quite handy and I think I can manage to detach the screen. However, if it doesn't work, it will probably be due to a piece; in the meantime, I saw another repairman who also thinks it’s the screen. I'll see tomorrow if I have the courage to fix it myself and if I feel capable; otherwise, I will probably take it back to Samsung...

thanks again, have a nice day
