Hello,
I have a problem with my Toshiba hard drive. I plugged it into my TV to watch a video and then when I was supposed to plug it back into my PC, it indicated "The hard drive is not accessible. Access denied."
When I plug it back into my TV, my drive is accessible and I can view my files on it.
What should I do? I definitely do not want to format it.

Hello,
Here is the solution: https://lecrabeinfo.net/acces-refuse-dossier-fichier-windows-obtenir-droits-administrateur.html
Hello,
I understand that the disk was working on the PC before being connected to the TV.
A number of TVs "format" the disk to be used according to characteristics specific to that TV.
Changing the ownership of the rights is obviously not the solution since the TV will reclaim these rights on the next connection.
If that's where the problem lies, it's not about changing the owner but rather, through the graphical interface or an ICACLS syntax, adding the local user or "everyone".
A plan B, if the TV accepts it without new "formatting", is a dynamic conversion via Aomei Partition Assistant or whatever into FAT32, no more NTFS, no more rights.
The downside is the possible presence of movies larger than 4 GB, which would then need to be copied to the PC and split in half with Avidemux or equivalent before putting them back.
