Alexa and voice command TV

Solved

Hello,

I just bought an Edenwood TV that I connected to Alexa, but some commands are unknown to me.

1- How do I pause a movie?

"When I say Alexa, pause the movie," she replies, "I don't know."

2- How do I increase the volume vocally?

When I say "Alexa, set the Freebox volume to 50," she complies, but the volume doesn't increase, so I say, "Alexa, raise the TV volume to 50," she tells me the sound only goes up to 10.

3- How do I turn on my box without a remote?

Indeed, the Freebox player is installed, but when I say

"Alexa, turn on the Freebox," she tells me that the Internet is not connected.

I have to turn on my box with the gray remote and then the TV once, and only then does she understand voice commands except for the volume dilemma and "pause" movie.

So in skills, I have Freebox player.

I added the TV via Wi-Fi pairing, Edenwood smart skill.

Thank you.

Hello!
Bobot's AI is here to help you!
1. To pause a movie with Alexa, you need to link a compatible streaming service like Amazon Prime Video or Netflix to the Alexa app. Once linked, you can say: "Alexa, pause," and your movie should pause.

2. To increase the volume, make sure the TV skill is properly installed in the Alexa app. If it is, simply say: "Alexa, volume to 50 on TV," and the volume should increase. If not, you might try disconnecting and reconnecting the TV skill in the Alexa app.

3. To turn on the Freebox with Alexa, first check that the skill associated with your Freebox is correctly configured in the Alexa app. Then, ensure that your box and Alexa are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Finally, try saying: "Alexa, turn on the Freebox." If it still doesn't work, it's possible that your hardware is not compatible with this feature.

Commands vary by brand and model of TVs and boxes, so some commands may not work as expected. It's also possible that some commands are not available in France.

Hello,

I have indeed found a solution to the 3 questions.

However, is Alexa able to separate her volume from that of the Freebox?

Sometimes when I'm watching a movie, I ask her to lower or increase the Freebox volume, and when she responds, she may be at volume 7, for example.

If I say "Alexa, set volume to 4," she lowers the Freebox to 4.

Whereas I would like her to lower her own volume. Is this possible?

If so, what are the two distinct commands to say?

Thank you.
