Hello,

I wanted to activate the XMP profile of the BIOS, and then the PC started giving blue screens right from the startup and goes into repair mode. I then flashed the BIOS to its latest version but still have the same problem. I feel like my components are not compatible; however, based on the specifications of the components, it seems like they should be?

Here is my setup:

Windows 11

RAM:

Gskill Trident Z5 DDR5 7800 2x16GB

Processor:

i9 14900KF

Motherboard:

MSI PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI

    Hello

You have chosen a very high frequency qualified kit at 7800 MHz while your processor only supports DDR5 5600 MHz... so yes, switching to XMP is impossible since it corresponds to the 7800 MHz frequency.

Otherwise, you need to overclock it from the BIOS, which means decoupling the memory bus from the motherboard, rarely effective, and complicated.

How often is your RAM set when you enable XMP?
