Site "aliexpress" became inaccessible

Hello,

I placed two orders two weeks apart without encountering any problems whatsoever.

Then I wanted to visit this site "AliExpress" again to discover the new products offered, and I no longer have access to it.

I noticed when I opened the site that my location was set to the USA, and when I tried to use the dropdown menu to specify my country of residence, France, it was impossible. Moreover, when I try to browse the various sections offered, the screen freezes, preventing me from signing in or navigating.

I suspect Google Chrome has a setting that blocks (...?)

Has anyone encountered this kind of problem?

Thank you and best regards.

    Hello,

I just tested it on Chrome and it's working, I am correctly detected in France.

Try disabling the extensions and/or turning off the VPN if you have one.

    Hello MisteryBean,

Thank you for helping me with this new (for me) problem.

Indeed, and unbeknownst to me, the VPN was enabled, and I have therefore disabled it.
However, when you mention "the extensions" to disable, what exactly are you referring to?
Please forgive an old computer user who still does not master all the subtleties of the system...

copy/paste chrome://extensions in the address bar and disable them, then restart Chrome and see what happens

There you go, I just followed the procedure you proposed but without any further results.
I do note, however, the presence of this "icon" that does not appear on any other site, and that, when I hover over it, explains that; "This site is not authorized to store data on your device"...
    Could this be a lead?...

There you go, thanks to your help "MisteryBean", I've found the way back to this site that I had lost.
A mistake on my part at a "T" moment?... The fact is that I've found the site I had lost access to, and I can only thank you for this help that you provide so selflessly, you MisteryBean, but also all those who participate.

    THANK YOU all.
