TV Thomson 50UD63*3 Problem with Netflix

Hello,

For the past few days, I've been unable to watch Netflix videos on the Thomson 50UD63*3 television. The video starts for a few seconds, then cuts off with an error message (tvq-pb-101 (5.2.12)).

I first tried the troubleshooting steps suggested by Netflix (turning it on/off, unplugging the TV, restarting the internet box), with no success.

I then updated the TV software by downloading this update: https://www.mythomson.com/fr_fr/manuels-et-telechargements-326-fr-fr?query-download=50ud6306&id_univers=

I correctly placed the file on a USB drive formatted in FAT32 and performed the update, which went smoothly. The correct software version appears in the device information.

I then reset the TV via the "Contrast" menu.

Despite this, the problem with Netflix persists.

Do you have any ideas?

Thank you

After calling Thomson's customer service, they recommend using a Fire Stick, as app updates for Netflix are not possible with these models.

Thank you, Thomson, for providing us with obsolete models in less than 7 years!

Technology is evolving rapidly and the commercial products that stem from it are following the same trend, prompting consumers to regularly change their devices.

Afterwards, at the same time, there are reports on the graph every day!

    Hello.

    Here’s what Netflix says https://help.netflix.com/fr/node/59990

The best option is indeed to get a stick or a box running Android, as the native apps of TV manufacturers often have this kind of problem due to a lack of relevant updates. That’s why it’s preferable to buy a TV that truly runs Android TV with the Google Store, rather than a TV with a store and an app from its manufacturer.

See some examples of Android TV boxes:
