My PC won't start.

I bought a gaming desktop PC from the brand STGSivir this weekend.

It worked perfectly during its first use on Sunday, but today it won't start: no lights are on, and the best result I got earlier by holding down the power button was that the smallest fan inside the case moved for a second.

I have already checked the wall connections, the power supply is indeed on, I tested it with another power cable, and I also tried to discharge static electricity by holding down the button with the cable unplugged.

I'm hesitating to send it back, but it seems absurd that it just stopped working overnight when it's new and hasn't been dropped or anything.

I would appreciate your suggestions for fixing it or knowing what diagnosis seems most likely,

Thank you,

Anaïs

Hello,

You can remove and reinstall the RAM

And do a Clear CMOS properly (As mentioned in the motherboard manual), otherwise it's generally like this:

1. Unplug the power supply

2. Remove the CR2032 battery

3. Check if you have a jumper on pins with CLR_CMOS or CLRTC written next to it

If you do, move it for at least 10 seconds

If you don't, short the pins with a screwdriver for at least 10 seconds

4. Put the jumper back as it was before, or stop shorting

5. Reinsert the battery

6. Plug the power supply back in

7. Start the PC
