Hello,

I reset my box due to recurring issues with my landline.

The phone works very well now; however, the Wi-Fi on my Dell Latitude laptop no longer works and my box is no longer recognized anywhere.

What should I do?

Thank you for your help!

Hello,

You have a button to turn off or activate the wifi in the administration interface as well.

If that doesn't work, request an exchange of the box.

And there you go....

But misery, the line spacing is so annoying!!

Thank you Brupala, but how can I access the administration interface? Can you please indicate the path?

On the other hand, I'm using my desktop computer connected via ADSL to post, and it works!

Yes, that's right. The first 4 Wi-Fi access points need to be activated?

Top 4?

The first 4 boxes should be checked like this, yes:

Thank you, that's good like that, but it's still not working.

Good evening,

I was stuck...

So, I left my Wi-Fi alone for a good week and took some fresh air.

Upon my return, I noticed something that had gone unnoticed: the list of available Wi-Fi connections indicated, among other things, the duplicated numerical reference of my box, without its name.

I didn't know that after a reset, it would be stripped of its name.

I renamed it on my desktop computer in the appropriate app.

And that's it!

This will certainly help others by saving them from searches and operations as energy-consuming and useless as what I went through.

No need to return it to the operator for an exchange...!

Thanks again for your help!

Hello,

um ...

Upon my return, I noticed something that had gone unnoticed: the list of available wifi connections indicated, among other things, the duplicated encrypted reference of my box, without its name. I didn't know that after a reset, it would be stripped of it. I renamed it on my desktop in the dedicated app.

We definitely don't have the same vocabulary; if I understand correctly, you changed the name of the wifi network of the box?

If that works for your PC, great, thanks for keeping us informed, even though the explanation doesn't help much.

Like many, yes I had originally renamed my box to better identify it.

And it was enough for my PC to be given back the name initially assigned by me for it to be listed again.

Things like SFR 8465B and others are common; even a cat wouldn't find its kittens (I live in a large building where no less than 100 households reside).

Hence the why of the how.

Oh okay, so the box has been reset, and you must have reconfigured the Wi-Fi SSID name that you had put on it?

Exactly, that's what I meant by "I've done a reset." Good evening.

If you can, please let me know the model of the box you have, check that your Wi-Fi light is on (often, people press the button next to them when resetting the box, which can cause a problem). Also, check if other devices detect the Wi-Fi, a diagnosis as simple as it may be.

Hello Adam, and thank you!

The model indicated on the box is as follows: F@st3686V1B; yes, I know, it's curious, but since I no longer have its packaging and nothing is indicated on my paper contract which is outdated, nor on my online account....

My box is not detected by my mobile phone...

I'm going to test what Brupala suggests and I'll get back to you.

However, right now, to post, I’m using my desktop computer connected via ADSL, and it's working!

In ADSL?

You mean in Ethernet?

Because the fast3686V1B box is a coaxial cable box.

You have a button for the Wi-Fi on top.

Yes, Ethernet with a Wi-Fi button as you said (which doesn't work even when it's on).

Now, the steps you mentioned earlier, should I execute them from my wired computer or from the laptop that is working normally on Wi-Fi?

I admit that I'm lost ...

No, the desktop PC, normally, https://192.168.1.1

Yes, I have already tried this method and I still get this message:
