Filmora software takes up 380 GB on my C drive.

Hello,
I have been very troubled for some time now. I noticed that my local disk C has only 2 GB free. It contains 455 GB and my Filmora folder takes up 380 GB.
I wanted to know if when downloading titles, transitions, audio, effects (which can be found at the top of the Filmora video editing interface), these downloads also go into a Filmora folder located on the C drive of the PC? If so, can we delete some subfolders found in the Wondershare Filmora folder, such as "download" which already has 37 GB, "temp" and many others, after we have finished our editing and exported it?
Thank you for responding if anyone has had the same problem as me or if anyone knows the solution because I can no longer work on it now and working on other online sites (they tell me to free up disk C but I can't)

Hello difficulties, it's what advances our knowledge. Our community shares our experience; I don't have the same software as you, but the principle is the same. For the "render (auxiliary files)," don't confuse it with background rendering; keep it checked.
I confirm that you can delete it, especially if you have never done the rendering.
For hardware acceleration, it only applies if you have a powerful graphics card like NVIDIA (CUDA).
For the second screenshot (snapshot), yes, I'm looking at the tree structure. I think those are files downloaded with the VLC icon; it seems to me I am hesitant to give an answer.
Finally, to clean your computer, everything can normally be done from your editing page by deleting all the thumbnails from your album (import) and music files or by going into the structure to find the folders "projects," folders "photo capture (snapshots).
I found this tutorial to guide you.

a hello, a response, a thank you are always appreciated.
Hi Chris,
You can always install an external hard drive and store your finished video edits there. This will free up space on your C drive.
"if when downloading titles, transitions, audio, effects": if downloaded from Filmora, yes. But don't delete them just to free up space; it serves no purpose.
"delete some subfolders found in the Wondershare Filmora folder": if you want to revisit a project to modify it, no, because all the steps in your video creation are there.
If you do this, you'll have to redo all the work you've already done (for modification purposes, for example).
If you want to keep your "exported" videos without wanting to revisit them, final edits, you can save them on an external drive, DVD, etc... then delete the projects made with Filmora. This will free up space, but I don't know how much.
Conclusion: it would be wise to invest in an external drive and store your exported videos there.
Best regards!
Thank you Txiki for your explanations.
I'll go into a bit more detail if you don't mind.
First of all, let me reassure you, all my exported films are on an external hard drive and my C drive only contains the large Wondershare Filmora folder.
When I make my edits, I only remove the project as soon as my film is definitively finished and exported; I delete it from the list that appears when we open the software, but apparently my old projects are also found in those subfolders in this C drive. I've taken several screenshots to show the path from C drive to these subfolders, one of which is called "render" and that one is 200 GB! When I go into it, there are other subfolders with countless letters and numbers, and then an icon that, when I click on it, tells me that the reader cannot read due to an extension (wscache) or a codec that is not supported. Maybe I can delete these folders, but I'm afraid of messing things up.
Hello everyone,
Chris: all these capture files are temporary files that Filmora used to create your videos.
You can delete all of them except for .render and .render cache maybe as well).
Because Filmora will use this space for the upcoming renders of your next edits.
Did you check the link from bazfile?
Best regards!
Hello friends, if I may intervene, I confirm that the basfile render is the memory used for projects, also called "auxiliary files." We regularly delete them without risk to free up RAM.
As for the second folder in the Filmora tree structure, I wouldn't touch it for precautionary reasons.
As a reminder, the Windows folder where your video captures are located should be kept until the project is finalized for safety. If you have a folder in Filmora, a bin where you put all the materials, video files, photos, music, transitions necessary for the content of your film, it’s the RAM that manages it by fetching the files from your computer, and it’s up to you to clean up once the editing is done.
Have a good evening.

Hello friends
Txiki: yes, I went on the Bazfile link and here’s what I got
This is what I saw on the link and I followed that on my software, but looking at the same window, here’s what I have:
It’s not the same and I don’t have the option to clean all the rendering files as it is indicated in the capture above.
Glandu: thank you for your reply. When you talk about the render folder, can I delete all the folders and subfolders that are in it?
When you talk about the second folder, which one is it? the snapshots?
In fact, when I finish my film, when it is saved and put on an external hard drive, I no longer need to keep the sequences made during my editing, the music or transitions that I may have added, and now, I don’t know what I should delete in my Filmora folder on my computer.
This is a bit complicated for me and I don’t want to make a mistake by deleting things that shouldn’t be deleted and end up having a problem with not being able to edit my films on this software which is really great.
By comparing the 2 screenshots, we can already see that I don’t have what is on the first one, and so I don’t know what to do to free up my C drive.
It’s a disaster!!!
Sorry, I made a mistake, so I don't know if you were able to see my message.
Txili: yes, I saw the bazfile link which I appreciate.
Indeed, I followed the suggested windows of which I took a screenshot, but unfortunately, I can no longer insert it here, so I'll explain. On "performance", there is indeed the box "delete rendered files", but when I go to that same window, I do not see this box, so I clicked on the folder before "performance", which is "media cache", and there I do have the box "automatically delete rendered files when the project is closed". There is also a box that says "automatically delete proxies when the project is closed"; should I check this box too?
In any case, I thank you all for these explanations!!!
Hey dude! This tutorial is really well done!
Thank you Glandu for all these explanations.
I'm going back and I will check the link you provided.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond to me.
Have a good day!
