Upgrade from my gtx1650 to rtx4060

Good evening,

For a bit of context, here is my setup.

Motherboard: B450M A Pro MAX

Processor: AMD Ryzen 3rd Gen PCIe 4.0

Graphics card: GTX 1650

I have just acquired a new graphics card (RTX 4060) and I understand that to use it, I need to update the motherboard's BIOS?

Being completely self-taught (like many I believe) in this area, I'm struggling to get information. I would like to know if it's mandatory to do it via a USB stick or if I can "flash" my BIOS using the MSI utility.

    Hello.

    Updating the BIOS is mainly useful in case of a processor change.

    To update the BIOS, you download it, then put it on a USB stick, and then check out this video.

    I checked, my motherboard supports my new graphics card but I really have to update my BIOS.

      Don’t forget to update your motherboard drivers, especially the chipset one, because it is important for the graphics card to be up to date.
