Is the online discount store a scam?

Madi24 -

I ordered 2 pairs of Air Max on clearance because they are clearing out stock, but I don't know this discount store site. Does anyone know if it's a reliable site or not? And do you know the shipping service track 718? I'm not familiar with it either, but nothing is really detailed. I received my tracking number and order number, but I have a slight impression that worries me. Unfortunately, I should have researched before ordering because when I was redirected to the site, it was a Zalando site, and I didn't think twice knowing that site. But today I received the order confirmation, and it wasn't Zalando but the discount store. So, has anyone ordered there and knows if it's a scam or not?

Hello, I also just got scammed; it's a fraudulent site. I'm in the process of contacting my bank for a refund. The tracking is fake, and we are never going to receive our orders.

    Hello
I can't respond to you since... you haven't provided the link.
But anyway, with all these clues, it doesn't look good at all. So yes, probably a scam.
    Best regards

    Hello,
I confirm that this is indeed a scam of which I have also been a victim.

The tracking is fake; after indicating delivery, it will disappear.

I fell for it like a rookie, especially since I am a Zalando customer.

What surprises me is that this site is still active.

We should report it in mass so that other people don't get scammed, and maybe start a legal process to possibly get reimbursed by their bank.

    Good evening

I ordered two pairs of Birkenstock, supposedly on clearance, then redirected to the Zalando site. It doesn't look good given your experience. By the way, have you received your order since December 9, 2023?

    Sincerely

You should carefully check the URL in the address bar after a redirection.

    zalando url

And look on different sites that reference this type of "clearance" offers.

For example, for Air Max sneakers: https://locoprive.fr/marques/nike/

    Or Birkenstocks: https://locoprive.fr/marques/birkenstock/

Hello, I'm in the same boat as you, I think it's a scam.

I don't even feel like ordering anything online anymore.

      Hello,

Contact your bank, try to make use of your banking insurance, possibly the so-called ChargeBack.

I love the British scam; the European Union had French and German as its official languages, being founded by these two countries, later joined by four others: Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland, Italy, and then the British joined the Union after everyone else, and they threw a fit to have the Union use their language, even though they founded nothing; and finally, they left, yet the Union continues to use their language: ChargeBack.

      Regards.

        Hello,

Chargeback is often difficult to implement because not only must one demonstrate a product that was not received or is non-compliant or clear fraud, but it also depends on the conditions of the credit card contract that has been subscribed.

This term is just jargon used by card issuers and, consequently, by banks.

The European Union has always had as many official languages as there are member states, and its directives are written simultaneously in all these languages.

They only have the force of law following their transposition into the language of each member state, and the vocabulary is obviously in the language of that state, particularly concerning us Code Monetary and Financial L133-18.

        Good evening,

“The European Union has always had as many official languages as there are member states”

No, that’s false, my dear friend of controversy; at the foundation of Europe, the EEC, it was German, Dutch, Italian, and French; for the Commission, the confederal government, it was only German and French, the British imposed their language.

“They only have the force of law following their transposition”

No, that’s false, they do not need to be transposed into local law to have the force of law; the Court of Justice of the European Communities, which has since changed its name, has produced jurisprudence to affirm that even if it is not transposed, a citizen can claim its application.

        Please accept my distinguished salutations.

        Hello,

That's right, yes: I am going to take legal action to assert such jurisprudence of the CJEU because I was defrauded into purchasing, at a still modest price, what is clearly a counterfeit pair of shoes.

Regarding the multilingualism of European directives and despite Brexit, English remains at least partially the official language of two states, Malta and Ireland, and, as I commented in <7> the Chargeback is just commercial jargon:

Chargeback is the technical term used by international card schemes to name the refunding process for a transaction carried out by card following the violation of a rule

        https://commission.europa.eu/document/download/3b971d58-4627-4e33-b5a0-968222e44893_en?filename=chargeback_report_revised.pdf

It is constant that official texts (European directives or national laws) are written in the language of each state and never use this term which is only used for convenience on third-party sites, see in particular:

        https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/FR/TXT/?uri=uriserv%3AOJ.L_.2015.337.01.0035.01.FRA&toc=OJ%3AL%3A2015%3A337%3AFULL

    Hello

The procedure has the merit of existing; there was no simple solution when we had already been taken in by these scam ads and had already paid.

We didn’t need England or the United Kingdom to spread English everywhere on our own, for many international topics and even where it wasn’t necessary.

Moreover, the English have done the same by importing French words for a long time, well before Europe and the laws resulting from its creation.

The site www.economie.gouv.fr has chosen to explain well that it’s the same procedure and to use both words in both languages, and it's ultimately quite effective if we want to be understood. That’s the most important thing.

I also bought online and made a payment on the website https://foxydi.net/

I haven't received my package and the site is still online when I log in, I can't find my purchase history, I don't even have the invoice, I only have the receipt sent by my bank.
