LG OLED65CX6LA TV Power Issue
Alex -
Hello,
My TV does not turn on with the first press of the remote. The red light on the TV turns off for one or two seconds and then comes back on. Then, if I press it again right away, I may have to press it multiple times before it finally turns off and the TV turns on. However, if I wait 10 seconds before pressing the remote again, the red light turns off and the TV turns on.
Yesterday, the red light even blinked for the first time for a few seconds before turning back on. And then it was impossible to turn on the TV. I had to power off the TV before I could turn it back on.
Today, the same thing happened, the red light turns off for a few seconds and then comes back on.
This does not prevent me from watching TV, but it worries me about a potential problem in the future.
Thank you for your help.

Hello
"does not turn on with the first press of the remote control": so it is on standby and not turned off?
If you have a On/Off button, physical, on your TV, unplug it from the power socket and press this power button several times. This will drain the capacitors.
Then plug it back in and see what happens.
Keep us updated.
Best regards!
Hello, thank you for your response. The TV does indeed stay in standby with a small red light in the center at the bottom. I don't have a physical on/off button but rather a button that, when pressed, brings up a bar at the bottom of the TV screen with several options including ON/Off. I still unplugged the TV and pressed this button several times before plugging the TV back in. When I pressed the red button on the remote, the red light on the TV started blinking and the TV turned on. This worked twice. After that, back to square one. On the first press, the light goes out for 2 seconds, I hear a sound, and the light comes back on. If I wait about ten seconds before pressing the remote again, then the TV turns on. If I press it again immediately without waiting, it does nothing.
Thank you for your help.
Hello Provence13760,
"The red light on the TV goes off for a second or two and then comes back on": it was in standby, goes off, then goes back into standby.
This means your action on the remote works since it wants to turn on (light goes off) but can't. It goes back into standby (the light comes back on).
"I don't have a physical on/off button": it's therefore a relay switch. The connection is made via an electronic board by pressing your remote.
"a bar at the bottom of the TV screen with several options": choosing an input for example like TNT, box, HDMI1 etc?
This is of no use to you in this case. A physical action is required.
Other than unplugging and waiting several hours to eliminate residual currents, I don't see anything else.
The problem lies with the board that manages the power supply to your TV.
Maybe someone else will have another solution?
Good luck!
Have you found the problem and the solution? I have the same issue, my TV only works if I unplug it from the power supply for 1 minute.
If I turn it off with the remote, the red standby light doesn’t necessarily come on.
If the red light is not on, I cannot turn it back on, except if I unplug it and plug it back in.
