Move and link the AppData folder to free up disk space on C drive

Hello everyone.
For some time now, I’ve been trying to free up space on my C: drive so that my PC runs better and also to install certain software that requires the C: drive during installation (hello Revit).
I only have about 4 or 5 GB free out of 100, and I’m looking, but most of the things installed on this drive are difficult to move applications or just system files.
I then heard about the AppData folder, which stores about 20 GB of data on my small C: hard drive that could be on my other hard drive (D:, 1TB).
I came across this tutorial: http://www.win10.fr/deplacer-dossier-appdata-windows10, which explains how to move this folder and link it so that the application data is stored correctly in the new folder. However, when entering the command, I receive this error message:
C:\Windows\system32>mklink /J C:\Users\emili\AppData\Local D:\Users\emili\AppData\Local
Cannot create an already existing file.
I have already tried renaming the different folders, with different paths or by doing it folder by folder, but nothing works, always the same message.
If anyone has any idea how to solve this problem, I'm all ears, and if you have other tips on freeing up space on the C: drive as well.
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
Given the limited space you have left, the simplest solution would be to buy a larger capacity hard drive (1TB) and clone the C:\ drive to it.
Then, you just need to format it and use it as a backup drive.
Hello,
As soon as you search a bit on the Internet, you find solutions similar to the one you want to use.
But you also find many users reporting instability with their computers.
I advise against embarking on this risky operation.
Follow panth33ra's advice: clone your SSD to a bigger one.
You will find plenty of tutorials, including on this site:
