Delay with VLC on my TV but not on my computer screen

Hello, when I watch movies on my computer and use my computer screen with my wired headphones, everything is fine. But when I use my second screen (my TV), there is a half-second delay, which is very annoying. But strangely, if I look at the preview in VLC on my screen 1, everything is correct. What can I do to fix the situation once and for all?

Hello

On your PC, it’s the computer that does all the work directly, so it’s normal for everything to be in sync. But when going through the TV, the PC sends the stream to the TV which will manage the entire stream (convert, display, etc.). Depending on the type of signal, there may be a slight delay.
You won't have the delay if you capture the sound through the TV, which will be in sync with itself.
Sometimes there is a possible audio delay adjustment in the TV menus, but here it’s VLC as the source, maybe check this:

In VLC, audio and video are not synchronized. Press the J key to advance the audio by 50 ms. Press the K key to delay the audio by 50 ms. Press the keys as many times as necessary so that the video track and audio track are re-synchronized.

Best regards

The fact is that my TV is connected to my computer as a second screen. If I were using wifi, I would understand, but that's not the case here. Also, neither Media Player Classic nor PowerDVD have this problem. And I have only experienced this situation for a few weeks (maybe it's a problem with an update).

I prefer VLC, but with these issues. I think I will switch applications until an update fixes everything.

Still check the VLC settings; it doesn't cost anything.
