So here it is, I've been using VLC media player for a long time to play and listen to videos, but for a few days now, when I open a file, whether it's audio or video, I have no sound, but the picture is fine. Yet on YouTube, when I watch a video, I have sound, so it's not my speakers!
I specify that I am on Vista and I have already tried reinstalling VLC and I also checked the mixer but without success :(
So if you have solutions, they are welcome!
Thanks in advance!

Hum...
There seems to be some confusion, I think ^^'
Try going to Start => All Programs => VideoLAN => Reset VLC.
That should fix your problem. If it doesn't, we will need to look at the codecs, the components that allow you to play videos.

any other solutions?
Go to the taskbar, at the bottom right, right-click on the small speaker => volume mixer, and when VLC is running, check if it is muted.
Uninstall-reinstall?
Do you have sound with other media players for the same file?
