Hello
For the past few days, the Avast antivirus has been appearing intrusively and repeatedly! How can I get rid of these annoying ads on my PC? Thank you for your help!

Hello,
Perhaps by purchasing the paid version, that’s the goal of these intrusions, more likely by uninstalling Avast and using something else instead.-
Thank you, but I don't have AVAST (Microsoft Defender is my only antivirus....)
I opened a video page about fruits: I teach French as a foreign language) and that's when the nightmare began!
There can be different causes.
A virus is not the one that comes to mind first in this context.
An adware: we just installed new software and didn't think to uncheck the other "suggested" software options.
Ads on a website: use an anti-scripts or ad-blocking extension.
A notification: there is an option in browsers to allow (or not) popup notifications from a site.

Hello,
When uninstalling Avast! If you have Windows 10 or higher, the built-in antivirus in Windows is more than sufficient for normal use.
Otherwise, by exploring the settings, there are a few options to try:

Hello.
Download FRST, once downloaded save it on your desktop, then right-click on FRST and choose Run as administrator, you will see this:
Wait for the message the tool is ready to operate to appear, then click on Scan
Attention, wait for the messages indicating that the scan is complete to appear.
At the end of the scan, you will have two text files on your desktop: FRST and Addition.

Then send the FRST and ADDITION reports to https://security-x.fr/up/ then provide the two links generated by https://security-x.fr/up/ in your reply.

Firstly, uninstall WebAdvisor by McAfee as it is an adware.
There are pesky notifications in Google Chrome; to remove them, follow the correction outlined below:
Procedure to be followed in the indicated order:
1- Open FRST as an administrator by right-clicking on FRST and choosing run as administrator
2 - Copy the entire script in the box below:Start:: CreateRestorePoint: CloseProcesses: GroupPolicy\User: Restriction ? CHR Notifications: Default -> hxxps://lcia.thunderforge.top; hxxps://prizehubtop.top CHR HKLM\...\Chrome\Extension: [fheoggkfdfchfphceeifdbepaooicaho] CHR HKLM-x32\...\Chrome\Extension: [fheoggkfdfchfphceeifdbepaooicaho] SearchScopes: HKLM-x32 -> DefaultScope {0633EE93-D776-472f-A0FF-E1416B8B2E3A} URL = FirewallRules: [{E0FEDD84-12BC-4CBB-8D0B-3C22917DA1BD}] => (Allow) C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MicrosoftTeams_23078.300.1950.927_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\msteams.exe => No file FirewallRules: [{017E013C-8B3D-4B8A-9056-08A7C46E9343}] => (Allow) C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MicrosoftTeams_23078.300.1950.927_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\msteams.exe => No file FirewallRules: [{2F4B60C6-1760-4578-A256-DABC878A7DA2}] => (Allow) C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MicrosoftTeams_23091.410.2053.8773_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\msteams.exe => No file FirewallRules: [{AEF73234-B7F3-483A-AD3E-D13EEF45C24E}] => (Allow) C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MicrosoftTeams_23091.410.2053.8773_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\msteams.exe => No file FirewallRules: [{B70135C9-8D94-4A38-A5FC-F6A633C8FBBA}] => (Allow) C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MicrosoftTeams_23119.304.2165.4533_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\msteams.exe => No file FirewallRules: [{EB5282B0-7637-4CE1-B361-93161B3CC508}] => (Allow) C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MicrosoftTeams_23119.304.2165.4533_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\msteams.exe => No file Task: {E0F10DCF-44AD-40E8-9370-FB5DA59F93FB} - System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\USO_UxBroker => %systemroot%\system32\MusNotification.exe (No file) End::3- Once the script is copied, click on Fix, FRST will automatically take the script from the clipboard.
Let the fix process complete; once it is done, you will be prompted to restart your PC, do it as soon as it is requested, see below. Then once your computer has restarted:
4- You will have a Fixlog file on your desktop; then send this fixlog report to https://security-x.fr/up/ and provide the link generated by https://security-x.fr/up/ in your reply.5- CHECK AND LET ME KNOW IF YOUR ISSUE IS STILL PRESENT

She is certainly on the other account, did you make the report on your husband's session or yours?
Because since you told me that:
but my husband still has it! So I'm following your advice above.
You need to do the FRST analysis on your husband's session, not yours, do the FRST correction on the session where the analysis was done and provide the link to the fixlog.

The analysis has been done on my session... which actually has no more issues (I changed the settings for the "pop-up windows").
I'm going to analyze my husband's session now.. Thanks again!

Hello bazfile
So I tried analyzing my husband's session. Except, of course, that only the administrator can open the 2 files. I am the administrator, but it's not prompting me to enter my password to continue!... I don't know how to access these 2 files that are apparently saved in my own notepad ( C:\Users \ Downloads\ Addition.txt)... I will try once more. In any case, a big thank you for your help!
-
PS when I open my notepad, I only find the links to the files I sent you yesterday, but not those from the analysis of my husband's session....
To perform the FRST analysis, simply read the tutorial and follow it to the letter, which you apparently are not doing.
Well, we are not going to spend the whole summer on this; either you do the FRST analysis, or you remove the unsolicited notifications in the relevant web browser Remove ads and notifications
