Negative text highlighting

Hello,

I have searched for the answer to my question on many forums but to my surprise, no one seems to have had this idea.

I would like to make it so that my text in InDesign is highlighted exactly the same way it is when I highlight it with my mouse. But permanently. The highlight color would take into account the color of what is underneath it and render that color in negative. I have tried using the "background" options for the text, "underline options," "paragraph rules"... but none of the options correspond to what I'm looking for, or perhaps I just haven't found it.

HELP

Thank you :)

You could do it in the underline options by increasing the thickness of the underline and shifting its position...
But there is nothing automatic for colors and positions... Although you can copy/paste a space and everything that comes after will have the same style until the next change...
