Lost photos after cleaning with Ccleaner (Android)

Hello,

I am desperate because I have lost nearly 30,000 photos that were stored on my smartphone (without backup or cloud). I am well aware that after such carelessness, I am the first culprit for what is happening to me, but before making a definitive farewell to them, I would like to know if there is even a slim chance of recovering some of them.

On Tuesday evening, I launched a Ccleaner cleanup to free up some space on my smartphone (originally, what I wanted to delete weighed 1.6 GB). I started the cleanup, but I imagine I must have made a mistake because the next morning nearly 80 GB had been deleted (Photos, Music, etc...).

I have tried a few recovery apps that could only retrieve what was still on my smartphone (for example, from the social media that I use).

I therefore imagine that everything has been destroyed and overwritten. I saw that DiskDigger, for example, recommended rooting my smartphone for a deeper search? Could this lead to anything?

That's it... Thank you in advance for your help. Whatever the outcome, I would just like to know if there is still hope or not.

Best regards

    Hello.

Connect your phone to your PC and perform a recovery using Recuva or Photorec. If your photos were stored on an SD card instead of your phone's internal memory, connect your SD card to your PC and perform the recovery using the two software mentioned earlier.

    Hello,

I’m experiencing the same issue, but I am abroad without a PC. Is there any hope of recovering them now? Recuva can’t find them, and my phone is not rooted.

If I try when I return in 2.5 weeks with a PC, do I need to stop taking photos so that the memory doesn’t get rewritten, or is it hopeless regardless?

Thank you in advance for your help.
