deleted photos on SD card Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,
My father deleted the photos from his SD card; while trying to delete one photo, he accidentally deleted all the photos.
How can I recover the photos, knowing that the memory card is not formatted?

Can you please help me?

Hi,

If you haven't taken a new photo over it and if you haven't formatted your card, you should have a good chance of recovering your images. I would recommend Recuva, which is certainly one of the best right now. It doesn't require installation, shows what can be recovered in thumbnail form, and indicates the quality of the recovery...

Hello, it's Seb. For your problem, you have a yellow or white switch on the side of your SD card. It should be in the lock position, which means it's blocked. So you slide that switch, and you can delete your photos. That's it!

I recently went abroad and took a lot of photos, but at one point, when I took a photo and went to the folder to view it, I noticed that I only had one left, and consequently, all my photos had been deleted ( - wrong handling - )
I downloaded Recuva, PC File Inspector, ... They only found the last photo for me ... The others have disappeared.
I then noticed that all the free programs only retrieved this last photo for me.
The paid programs like Easy Digital Photo Recovery and Digital Photo Recovery found about 500 photos that I can see in thumbnail form, but I have to purchase the program. However, I have no Visa or anything and don't really want to pay, but if that's the only solution, I would really like to recover these photos ...

If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful ...

Hello, I have the same problem as all of you, which is that I've deleted a video and I would like to recover it. The issue is that I managed to recover it... halfway. I only have the first 23 seconds. I wanted to check on a next video (if it was cut off), but it shows me this:

I had the same problem as many people here, namely, I accidentally deleted an entire folder of 292 photos when I only intended to delete one...
I’ve looked into your various responses and tried different software, but I'm facing a big problem: I can only recover photos dated before December 31, 2010... which I had already backed up... All the ones between January and March are not showing up (or not yet ????)

Recurva!!! A whole program. It installs itself, rummages through the SD card, finds .TIFF files that didn't exist in that format, but completely overlooks the .Raw (CR2) files that were there. And the final curiosity, it loads not the latest files that were accidentally deleted (May 2012), but some from April that I absolutely do not need (already transferred through normal means). So for the small JPEGs, it should be fine, but for the rest, meh...

I have ProtectRetrieval running in the background right now. Slow, but at least it recovers the right files and in the original RAW format.

To each their own solutions.

I'm sorry to bring up this topic again, but I'm unable to recover the photos from my SD card! I haven't formatted it or taken any new photos on it...
However, when I insert it into my computer's built-in card reader, Windows asks me to format it! Afraid of doing something wrong, I always click "Cancel", but as a result, in certain programs (because I think I've tested them all!), my card reader appears as inaccessible!

Hello, I tried Recusa to recover all 278 recently taken photos from the SD card of my NIKON D3100, accidentally deleted. NOTHING!! So I used a paid program: File Scavenger(R) Version 4, which cost me 50 USD (American dollars), about 40 EUR. It's not cheap but it worked great. I don't regret my 50 USD: Just for your information.
