Hello,
I have been using this printer for years and until a few weeks ago, it worked without any problems.
I can no longer use the scanner. It says that the device is not connected to a USB port. However, it is, and I can print.
I have already reinstalled the software provided with the printer (USB mode) but it hasn't changed anything.

Can I install the WiFi version of the Canon programs on top of the existing installation?

Thank you in advance for your help.

André

    Hello,

I didn't understand everything! ... Connect your printer via Wi-Fi (don't use the USB cable)?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your intervention.
I installed the printer programs in USB version (there is a WiFi version on the CD) because it is connected to the PC via a USB cable.
I have already activated the WiFi on the printer because I was also using it on a laptop.
Even when using the "scanner" function on the printer's screen, it does not work and I receive no error message.

However, when I use the "scanner" function from the "Canon Quick Menu" application installed on my PC, I receive a message indicating that the device is not connected (USB). Yet, I can print.

Thank you again for your help,

    André

Which Windows OS is your PC running?

Available drivers (Windows version to check) for your printer.
