Error code 5205

Hello,

My Canon Maxify MB 2150 printer is showing the support code 5205. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in, but nothing happened. I also tried resetting it as shown in some videos for Canon printers, not necessarily the Maxify, by pressing the cancel button five times while holding the power button. It does make a sound as if it’s resetting, but after that, nothing happens; when I turn it back on, the error code reappears.

    Hello,

    Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the printer, and disconnect the USB cable from the PC as suggested.

    Download and install --> Revo Uninstaller
    Run it as an administrator
    Uninstall everything related to Canon printer products.
    Follow the tutorial carefully to uninstall everything properly, including residual folders and keys.
    For the residual scan, check the mode --> advanced
    Restart the PC.

    Download this driver --> Canon
    Reconnect the power cord to the printer
    Turn on the printer
    Start the driver setup
    Connect the cable to the PC as soon as prompted.

    If nothing works, a repair is necessary as already suggested by MPMP10

    Hello,

     5205 Cause An error occurred at the printer level. Action Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord from the machine. Plug the machine back in, then turn the machine on. If the problem persists, contact the nearest Canon service center to request a repair.
