Installing a new OS on Samsung GALAXY Tab 3

Hello,

This tablet was unusable because there are no more updates for the Android system.

I tried to change the system with ODIN, I shouldn't have.

Now the tablet won't start anymore, only the logo and the model of the tablet appear on the screen, and the image flickers, and it keeps restarting over and over.

If anyone has a solution for this tablet, I'm interested.

Thank you

Hello,

The solution to correct your blunder... a factory reset of your tablet... https://www.samsung.com/fr/support/mobile-devices/comment-restaurer-ma-tablette-a-l-etat-initial/

Hello,

I doubt it will work: to perform the operation, the firmware must have been rooted and flashed to install a new ROM.

There's hardly any other solution than reversing the process by trying to find the original ROM or a modified ROM, but this time a correct one, which in any case is pointless: it's likely that the tablet doesn't support Android beyond a certain version and that if the result is Android 7 instead of Android 4, the tablet will be just as unusable.

Thank you for your feedback as well.

Indeed, I had found the ROM for this tablet online, I downloaded ODIN and I followed the tutorial concerning the proper functioning of ODIN.

Everything seemed to work with the GREEN logo on the ODIN software, which confirms that the tablet recognized the ROM.

And since then, well, I must have made a mistake somewhere, or the ROM was ultimately not the right one, even though it was taken from the SAMSUNG website.

And now, I can't even start the tablet in ODIN mode.

It's a f***** mess.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your feedback.

However, I have already tried to reset the tablet using the buttons (volume up + home + on/off), and it does not work.

The tablet turns on for one second to display the model of the tablet.

In my opinion, your tablet is definitely unusable as brucine says.
