Vboxuser password issue

Hello,

with virtual box 7.0, I created a virtual machine running Windows Pro. During installation, VirtualBox created a user vboxuser without a password. I was careless and left it that way because it suited my usage type. The problem is that today I received a message saying that the password has expired and needs to be changed. However, Windows does not allow leaving the current password empty, so I cannot change it, and there's no way to bypass it without changing it. I tried to log in with my Microsoft account, but it does not recognize it either (I am certain of the credentials I entered).
Do you have any ideas on how to get me out of this situation?

Thank you for your attention

Dany

Hello,

Have you tried this:

Hello

...Maybe we should also pay attention to the default keyboard layout (qwerty) when entering the password....

Thank you

Hello,

I followed your method but it didn't yield anything. Do you have any idea on how to force the password?

Thanks in advance.

Debian installation on VirtualBox and a password is required and indeed it is

username: vboxuser

password: changeme

Which appears during the creation of the VM on the second page

I encountered the same problem as you

Where it asks you to enter the current password, you enter changeme (that's the default password for VirtualBox), then you enter your new password

NB: it worked for me
