Website inaccessible via Wi-Fi but accessible via 4G

Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out to you as a last resort. I’m well aware that similar issues have already come up on the forum, but none of the solutions I’ve read have resolved my problem.
I coach a team of young basketball players, and I regularly visit the federation's website to check the scores of other teams and prepare for upcoming matches. For more than a week now, I can no longer access this site (the homepage is fine, but as soon as I go to the competitions section, I get blocked): https://resultats.ffbb.com/comites.html
It’s not vital, but it’s really annoying, and I don’t understand why I no longer have access.
I realized yesterday that I could access it with my mobile phone using 4G, but not when it was connected to the Wi-Fi. The same goes for both computers in the house. The error message is as follows:
"This site is inaccessible
resultats.ffbb.com took too long to respond.
Here are some tips:
- Check the connection
- Check the proxy and firewall
- Run Windows network diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
- Clearing the cache, temporary files, deleting cookies (manually and then with Ccleaner);
- Changing browsers;
- Disabling the firewall;
- Restarting the router;
- Checking the Hosts file;
- Changing the DNS.
I’m a bit lost here...

Good evening,
At my place, this site works well and quickly switches from one page to another... so it's a problem with your area or even your home... or just your Wifi... What you did is good, but maybe not enough..??
-- If you connect at a neighbor's place; does it work..??
-- If you connect your PC directly behind your box with an RJ45 ethernet cable does it work..?
Be careful to disconnect your PC from Wifi to connect it via ethernet otherwise it's useless.
What's your BOX..?? ISP, brand and model.
So you are in Alsace..?
Are you able to access other websites https://www.dna.fr/ for example?
Could you run this command line:
- simultaneously press the keys <Windows> + <R> which brings up a window for a command.
- type (or copy/paste) the following command cmd /c ipconfig /all | clip then <Enter>
- then, you paste or "Ctrl v" on the Forum page ... this should paste a text of your ipconfig.
I will look into it more tomorrow. But at first glance, you must be blocked only on this site; this IP address,
Check the antivirus, Firewall, ad blocker...
You should also clear your browser cache, I believe it's Firefox, update it and clear the cache with Firefox's settings...
Unplug your BOX from the wall socket for 5 minutes, and plug it back in.
After observation, and also clearing your internet cache... I have the impression that the FFBB site is blocking you, I don't know why..?? but you might have some suspicions..??
-- You can try connecting your smartphone to your Wi-Fi and disabling "mobile data" and in your smartphone browser enter the address https://resultats.ffbb.com/comites.html you'll see if it connects or not..??
-- You can also try to connect to https://www.ikoula.com/fr it's the same route as your FFBB and you'll see if you are admitted or rejected..
You can also contact them http://www.ffbb.com/nous-contacter explain this curious rejection which is probably an anomaly...etc..etc..
You can go to this link http://www.ffbb.com/edf/equipes-france-feminine-actus
and then click on "Competitions"
Hello Jeannets,
thank you once again very sincerely for your responses, it's great of you to take the time to help others.
In order:
- I have access to the site http://www.ffbb.com/;
- I disabled mobile data on the smartphone, it still doesn't work;
- I can connect to the site https://www.ikoula.com/fr;
- I have access to http://www.ffbb.com/edf/equipes-france-feminine-actus, but when I click on "Competitions," it no longer works...
I'm not going to waste any more of your time, I also wonder if my IP address has been blocked by the site. No idea why, I consider myself to browse the internet "responsibly," I've never sent them an email (spam) and I visited their site at a reasonable frequency and without abuse (2 to 3 times a week).
Hello Jeannets,
thank you once again sincerely for your responses, it's great that you take the time to help others like this.
In order:
- I do have access to the site http://www.ffbb.com/;
- I have disabled mobile data on the smartphone, it still doesn't work;
- I can connect to the site https://www.ikoula.com/fr;
- I can access http://www.ffbb.com/edf/equipes-france-feminine-actus, but when I click on "Competitions", it stops working...
I'm not going to waste any more of your time, I'm also starting to think that my IP address has been blocked by the site. I have no idea why, I consider myself to browse the internet "responsibly", I have never sent them any emails (spam) and I visited their site at a reasonable frequency and without abuse (2 to 3 times a week).
Indeed, it's curious...because the address of this site remains the same... The Smartphone operation confirms that you are blocked by the FFBB site. You should perform a deep clean of your browser; I believe you are using FireFox.
This site is a bit special... in the sense that it hosts several sites... It's Ikoula, which is divided into several access points... one of which is FFBB, which itself is further divided... Including the competition table...
Many use this principle, charging a fee to offload this work and entrusting it to professionals who manage everything... Your connection works well in FFBB, but stumbles at the "Competitions" access... why you and not your neighbor who has the same ISP, nor me either..?? There’s something going on.
Could you install another browser on your PC, even temporarily, to connect to this site and see..?
Opera for example. https://www.opera.com/fr
Good evening Jeannets,
thank you for your response. I haven't tested the connection at the neighbor's or the ethernet cable, thank you very much for these ideas! I'll try all of that tomorrow morning.
I'll also check the model of the BOX tomorrow. I'm with a very small ISP (Vialis), and when fiber arrived, the bigger ones didn't immediately position themselves. I was very satisfied until now.
Hello Jeannets, and really thank you for taking the time to try to find a solution,
That's right, I am in Alsace :)
The DNA site works, the FFBB site is really the only one I can't access as far as I've noticed (and still, I can access the homepage...).
I tried at the neighbor's who has the same ISP, it works. I used the Ethernet cable on my box, but it doesn't work...

Hello
I am in the same situation, and I have absolutely tried everything on the ISP side, the equipment, etc. The conclusion is definitely that the IP is blocked by the host.
Have you managed to solve the problem?
Should we contact the FFBB?
I had somewhat neglected my own topic while jeannets continued to offer me solutions, for which I am sorry and I ask for forgiveness.
I unplugged the box for more than an hour, cleared the browser cache, tried with two other browsers (Edge and Chrome), nothing works, whereas it works on 4G.
I come to the same conclusion as you val_4331, my IP address has been blocked by the FFBB. No idea why, I believe I browse the Internet responsibly and I was only consulting this site (never sent an email to the FFBB or was vindictive towards them).
I plan to contact them this weekend to explain the problem, it remains an associative hobby, but it is still annoying.
