I'm getting worse 4G reception with my mobile data than before.

Hello,
for some time now my phone has been acting up, at least my mobile data.

Before, it picked up 4G throughout the house and I had no problems, but now it has become unbearable (even though I haven't changed anything):
-where I used to have 4 bars of 4G, I now only have 2
-there are places in the house where I can't get any signal at all sometimes while I thought I had a good signal there
-same in the street, in the middle of a city that's 100% covered by 4G in theory, there are spots where I don’t get a signal, but it happens that if I walk 10 meters ahead, I regain 4G
-sometimes I only get H+, E+ or I don't know what
-it seems to me that when I restart the phone it gets a bit better
-I feel like I'm very slightly receiving Wi-Fi from my house worse as well (I'm really not sure) and I'm not sure but my mobile network might be slower
-finally, my family who have the same plan don't seem to notice this
-when I play on my phone, the ping (latency) is sometimes much higher than usual, even though it has always been high

I don’t know if this is useful, but I've had a Samsung GALAXY A21S for a year. I'm with réglomobile (https://www.reglomobile.fr/) and I think either the phone has a problem or the plan does, but I don't see how it could be the settings, I also have 4G enabled.

I thought I could figure out where the problem lies by swapping SIM cards (putting one with the same plan in my phone) but I’m afraid it might mess something up or that I might lose my contacts.

Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

in principle, it's the 4G relay that would be the cause... if the settings on your smartphone are indeed identical and it has no malfunction.

    Reglomobile works with SFR relays...

It is still possible that there are new elements, like a crane or the construction of a building, in the relay's beam, so you’re receiving less well...

It could also be that you are connected to a different relay than your family, especially if you are on the edge of the range of two relays; you could very well be in the field of the neighboring relay...

We don't know enough about these things to master what is happening.

I personally had this case; my smartphone only received 2G or E last year, while my wife had exactly the same smartphone and received 4G well... I blamed a defect in the phone with the seller... he gave me another one without arguing... It absolutely changed nothing... I moved to a different region for 6 months, and it received 4G well... I came back to the previous place... and now it receives 4G well... I took back my old phone that received poorly... and now it receives 4G well too... So how to explain that, I did nothing, the equipment is the same... Mystery... I assumed that there had been work done to improve 4G since then..

So, for your case, I don't know what else to tell you, but you could report it to your provider "Reglomobile" with this idea, to encourage them to look into (or modify) the connection cell of your smartphone... or to make adjustments on their 4G.
